Albert Pinggera founded design.buero when he returned to Passeier in 1997 after having spent a number of years working and studying in Munich, Berlin and The Hague.
The focus of his studies and training were type design, typography and corporate design.

In 2000 Wilco Lensink joined the company; in 2002 he left to teach at the University of Bolzano.
Work with international partners such as Leonardi.Wollein and Richard Buhl in Berlin, eStudio Calamar in Spain and Erik van Blokland in The Hague continues to increase.

In 2001 we began an in-house DTP department in order to guarantee quality through the entire process.
The complexity of our projects continues to increase: type family FF Strada (90 fonts), the Schering corporate typeface (80 fonts), the 700 page almanac for the municipality of Schenna, and the corporate design for the Passeier Museum.
